I got another electrical rough inspection a couple weeks ago, for our hallway and half of the living room, but I haven't had time to close up the holes in the walls yet. The kitchen is finally done, the walls at least though the ceiling and trim needs sanding and paint. And the first of ten truckloads of insulation is installed in the attic. I'm using recycled denim cotton batts, luxuriously soft rolls of pillowy blue fibers that are so pleasant to work with, compared to fiberglass, that they're worth every penny of the slightly higher price. Some people say that the material is hard to cut, and it is - but it tears like paper, and it couldn't be easier or faster to size the pieces to fit. I'd be going faster if I could get more of the bulky packages in my truck!
